We’ve missed seeing everyone at training at Warriors, and in preparation for your return to the club we want to make sure you can train with confidence, and so have introduced a new range of measures to ensure your health and safety.
WHAT WE’RE DOING
The club might feel different as the health and safety of our members and staff remains our top priority. That’s why we’re adding more safety measures and extensive cleaning protocols, so we can safely support you as you get back into training.
NEW TIMETABLES
Timetables have been modified to ensure classes do not go over student cap limits - in line with government restrictions - and we ask parents and students to train only on your allocated training days to ensure we can safely accommodate all members.
The interactive timetable on our website is always up to date with the current class times, so please always check the timetable for changes as we will open them up further as government guidelines permit.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Students will be spaced 2m apart in the dojo, more than the recommended 1.5m
No partner work will be occurring in the short term and training will be totally ‘no contact’
Physical distancing signage has been installed around our club to help members and staff maintain 1.5 metres in all areas
KEEPING EACH OTHER SAFE
At this time, the Warriors Martial Arts community is more important than ever. You can help us and your fellow members stay safe and healthy by following these guidelines.
Do not attend classes if you’re feeling unwell
Always bring your Warriors Membership tag to class to SCAN YOUR ATTENDANCE
Visitors who don’t have a membership card must record their visit by signing into reception
We ask that you take responsibility for physical distancing measures by adhering to social distancing measures, avoid congregating prior to classes starting, respect capacity rules and use only the equipment that is available
Don't arrive more than 5 minutes prior to you class to ensure that we adhere to physical distancing capacity
Please be patient at drop off and pick up. Instructors will be monitoring and ushering students in and out of buildings
We request that parents only drop off students, and wait outside or in cars. We have removed all member lounge seating for the time being. No siblings allowed in class
Personal boxing gloves MUST be brought to each class
Hospital grade antibacterial sanitiser will be used at the end of each class to thoroughly wipe down all equipment & floor after use
Please be respectful of team members who are enforcing procedures
INCREASED CLEANING
Thorough cleaning of all equipment used in training between activities and at the conclusion of any class
No shared equipment unless disinfected between uses
We ask all members and visitors to refrain from using club toilets where possible. As each class runs for one hour or less, we encourage families to go to the bathroom at home before and/or after class
SAFETY MEASURES
Hand Sanitiser Stations placed nearby high-touch areas. Upon entry, everyone MUST wash their hands
No shared equipment unless disinfected between uses
We ask all members and visitors to refrain from using club toilets where possible. As each class runs for one hour or less, we encourage families to go to the bathroom at home before and/or after class
Both Sarah and Meysam are marshals, and in addition to their usual duties, they have the added responsibility to keep our training facility safe and open, protecting employees, members and their families
ALL Instructors and Staff have completed Australian Government, Department of Health Infection Control Training - COVID 19
It WILL NOT be mandatory for students to wear masks when training. Students should however observe the Government rules on the wearing of masks before and after class
Thank you for helping to keep our club safe and open!
