Thank you to everyone who came along to help us make our annual beach training a great success! What a great day to mark the first Official IKON Australian Beach training hosted by Warriors Martial Arts. 👊
This past weekend, on Sunday, 23 February 2025, we traded the comfort of our mats for the excitement of the sand, for a day filled with fun and enthusiasm - proving that the spirit of Kyokushin thrives beyond the four walls of a traditional dojo.
A New Arena for Training
Designed as a dynamic introduction for our Young Warriors and a refreshing twist for the seasoned ones, the IKON Beach Training was an eye-opener for many. It demonstrated how Kyokushin integrates seamlessly with outdoor activities, bringing a thrilling dimension to our practice of martial arts. The change in scenery welcomed a fresh take on how we can train in different ways, and how to welcome new experiences to help build a passion for training and being active.
More experienced students stepped up, embodying the true spirit of leadership, guiding less experienced and younger students through the sands, showing them that every environment is an opportunity to learn. For parents, it was a unique occasion to witness the transformative impact of Kyokushin, observing first-hand how the discipline strengthens character and builds resilience among the younger generation.
Community and Camaraderie
Following the rigorous training session, the day eased into a more relaxed tempo with a community barbecue. This was not just about refuelling our bodies but also about celebrating the strong community ties at Warriors Martial Arts. The laughter and stories exchanged over lunch highlighted the close-knit relationships fostered within our club, encompassing not only our students but also their supportive families.
As we shared meals and moments, it was evident that Warriors Martial Arts is more than just a martial arts school; it’s a vibrant community hub. It was heartwarming to see new friendships form and existing ones strengthen, all under the banner of IKON and our shared passion for Kyokushin.

The success of our Beach Training Day has set a buoyant tone for future events. We have seen the joy and growth that comes from stepping out of the dojo.
